Alain Gaymard's work offers us a singular visual and aesthetic universe. His photographs are recognizable by their vivid colors and artistic blurs. The artist presents us with a dreamlike world, taking the viewer not only through a broad chromatic palette, but also into fantastic, intriguing, picturesque and poetic spheres.
Ranging from landscapes inspired by the film adaptation of Tolkien's work to moods similar to those of Tim Burton, Alain Gaymard's work also has a pictorial structure that reveals inspirations from surrealist painters such as Salvador Dali, or more photographic ones like the prints of Sebastiao Salgado. The artist creates a comparable universe, inciting reverie and escapism.
The artist takes a fresh look at productions that surprise us with their choice of themes, featuring masked and mysterious characters; from whimsical creatures to lost travelers, all the while retaining the strength of his captures. The artist invents an incongruous, chimerical society. This approach to art aims to create an image that is both aesthetically pleasing and technically sophisticated, adopting a variety of viewpoints to accentuate the creative dreamlike quality. His aim is to capture the moment and the emotion of faces and expressions, revealing the most diverse feelings. Alain Gaymard is therefore an innovative photographer, not hesitating to combine different genres and themes to create a world that is both folkloric and unreal. The artist has developed a style all his own, making you want to escape into his dreamlike creations.
