Sajede Sharifi, Born in 1984, I live and work between Paris and Tehran.I was trained at Iranian House of Photography and then at BBC World Service Trust. After studying sociology at Tehran University, I was graduated from L'Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie, Arles in 2014 and finally at the International Center of Photography, New-York in 2015. I work more than ten years as photo-journalist for persian press. My work interrogates the photograph as a document, crossing fictive narrative and objective result. In parallel to my documentary mission, I try to develop a more personnel project, an interrogation on language and veracity of photography as a document, by playing with reconstructions or the archetypes which blur the frontiers between reality and fiction.Between objectivity and fiction, authenticity and imaginary, I do not actually consider the documentary photography as a permanent and faithful restitution of reality.
