Bernard BRAULT Professional photographer for over 43 years in Quebec, Bernard Brault captures emotion and movement through his photos. Sports specialist, Bernard Brault began his career in 1976 with the newspaper Le Courrier du Sud on the south shore of Montreal. Subsequently, he collaborated in several magazines as well as press agencies, UPC and Reuters. Since 1984, he has been a photographer for one of the largest French daily newspapers in America: La Presse. Since January 1, he has become a freelancer again. It also covers large-scale events. This is how he went to the last eleven Olympic Games from Lillehammer in 1994 to those of Sochi (2014). He has covered all of the Grand Prix du Canada since 1978. He has several exhibitions to his credit and two books, including "I am successful in my photos", written jointly with Stéphane Champagne, which is a success. Prizes and mentions have been fused since 1981 (more than 300 spread over 5 continents): in France, it received 1st prize in the International competition for the best sports photo in 1985; in 2003, he won the Grand Prix of L'Escale Nautique magazine and the following year that of L'Actualité magazine. Photographer of the year in Canada in 1996 and 2007, winner of eleven Antoine Désilets awards from the FPJQ, he was winner of Photographs of the Year 2015, in the "Sport" category.
