Description
As author of the photo book "Faroe Islands, the land of perhaps", I am passionate about capturing people's faces and gazes, the contours of nature and the sometimes secretive actions of its inhabitants. While beauty sometimes presents itself to the lens, more often than not it has to be found. The shot becomes unique when the light, the scene and the framing, the strength of the colors and the expressions all come together in harmony and vibrate in unison. It's these moments of zenith, whether discreet or marvelous, that I try to capture. Along a personal path of illustration photography, I gave free rein to my passion for natural landscapes. Nature photography has taught me to listen to my environment with all my senses. Waiting for the right light or the grace of an animal pose has also taught me the virtues of patience. In the midst of the obvious and the not-so-obvious, beauty, in its many forms, always manages to show something of itself when you know how to look at it.
