Charles, is a mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei), the dominant silver back of the Umubano group in the Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. Sitting on the separation wall built between the national park and the potato crops, this great gorilla contemplates his future estate, which will soon be restored to the forest and the gorillas. The Rwandan authorities are buying farmland all around the park to enlarge it.
