aerial view of this tower The cape of Dramont carries the main semaphore of the region, in a preserved natural site, where the flora is particularly rich. Already located in a Natura 2000 zone, it is classified as a remarkable site. The red rock (rhyolite) is characteristic of the whole Esterel massif; it is of volcanic origin and dates from the Permian (primary era). The landing beach, just south of the cape, is an important place of the Allied landings in Provence (Second World War). Opposite the cape of Dramont, at 200 meters, is the Golden Island, an island of about 200 m long, on which is built a square tower of medieval but modern style.
I never tire of looking at this image which hypnotizes and soothes me.

Has silver reflections
The sea
Of the changing reflections
Under the rain
The sea
To the summer sky confuses
Its white sheep
With the angels so pure
The sea shepherdess of azure
