Gilles LARBI (Gil.L) born in 1958 I live in Brittany in Plérin Self-taught professional photographer since 1991: I work in illustration for the magazine press, publishing and advertising. Since 1999, I have been devoting myself in parallel to research on the body, dance and the landscape through a digital work combining photo and painting. This work goes from photographic reality to more pictorial and dreamlike images Painter: there too goes from concrete to the abstract in a colorist and spontaneous approach; accepting a clean design or based on the material. My works in painting are mainly monotypes and oil on eclectic Creator paper, loving to vary the techniques worked alone or in association thanks to the digital tool. The important thing is to arouse emotions, preferably joyful and positive, through my work.
Photo prize: International prize in 1997 of the Japanese newspaper Seikyo (circulation 5,500,000 copies)
