ANTOINE COUVERCELLE

Photographer specializing in tennis since 1999.
My first official assignment was in Brest for a challenger tournament. Sort of the second division of tennis. But it was a certain Roger Federer who won the tournament! His first ATP tournament. So I was lucky enough to rub shoulders with him right from the start...
I started taking photos at Roland-Garros when I was 15. My father was the director of Tennis Magazine at the time, and my school was right opposite Roland. As soon as school was over, I'd run down to the stadium to take photos. I was passionate about tennis from an early age, thanks to my father. I was a "player" too, as a young hopeful, but I soon realized that it wasn't going to work out...
I discovered photography at the age of 14. It was to become another passion and I linked the two to make it my profession.
I worked for Tennis Magazine until 2016. Today, as a freelancer, I continue to cover all the major tennis tournaments around the world and rub shoulders with all the greatest players!
