Tidal bore on the Dordogne (33). The tidal bore is a natural phenomenon that occurs during high tides. When the rising tide meets the water coming down from the river, it creates a series of waves that turn into waves. These waves go up for nearly 150km inland (we are here near Libourne). At this point, you can surf 3 km for more than 15 minutes.
