The Djébel Haraz, in Yemen, is a succession of mountains culminating at an altitude of 3,000 m where are hung citadel villages. Here, the village Al Hajjarah, hanging on the top of a mountain of 2,300 m, is surrounded by stone ramparts. It is a fine example of mountain architecture.
