Description of the photograph

Their mountains are hidden in the mists. Their villages are surrounded by the jungle. Their story itself remains shrouded in mystery. As if the Wa, small people sparse on the Sino-Burmese border, had always wanted to be forgotten. Here, women with silver jewelry and pearls cross a gigantic bamboo bridge (the longest in China) on the Nankang River.
