Tony Allen is a legendary drummer, quite simply. Brian Eno said of him that he was perhaps the greatest drummer who ever lived. For this exceptional concert at every point of view, at the Vieilles Charrues Festival, Tony Allen has put together an incredible line up, with, among others, Oxmo Puccino and Damon Albarn singing. Yes, Damon Albarn de Blur came specially that day, so as not to miss this concert. Seeing Fela Kuti's drummer, immortalizing his smile, his joie de vivre on stage, behind his drums, will remain one of the greatest memories of my career as a photographer.
