After 10 years spent in different photo studios as a retoucher-chromist, from fashion to jewelry, the desire and need to get behind the lens became inevitable.
From photography to body painting, Virginie Tarin unfolds her visual universe by sculpting textures. The female body, at the heart of her art, is revealed by the materials (paint, clay, fabric,...) that she works intuitively on the skin and that thwart the fixity of the image. More than a capture of moments, her photographic series show the moving, free and living part of a body in permanent metamorphosis. From the animal chiaroscuro of Black Swan to the almost liquid colors of Flow, from the dry earth to the sacred force of FCTM, the feminine is drawn in its hybridity, in its encounter, sometimes archetypal, with the beings and the elements that surround it.
Photography is synonymous with sharing, exchange, and infinite possibilities
