Olivier Corneloup

A black & white enthusiast, I have long practiced architectural photography before becoming more and more interested in street photography over the years.

I try to build graphic, minimalist and contrasted images, playing with lights and natural shadows, during my urban walks (Paris, Bordeaux, Limoges, Milan, London...)

My photographs are never staged. I make them according to the opportunities that appear during my photographic journeys: a light, a building, a passer-by...

Even if I work digitally, I don't use retouching software (such as Photoshop). No element is ever removed or added in post-production. On the other hand, I use a development software (Lightroom) which allows me to crop or to work on the luminosity of the photo.

I exclusively use Fujifilm cameras which offer the possibility to manage all the settings (ISO, speed, aperture) via dedicated wheels as on film cameras. This type of camera allows me to shoot in manual mode (which is important to obtain very well observed photos) while remaining very fast (which is essential in street photography).
