Dating & Places

Born in 1980 in Strasbourg, I was in a first life Marin-Pompier de Marseille then ambulance driver in the private sector and at the SAMU. From this period, I have had a taste for others and the need to share. Self-taught, photography came into my life around the age of 12, my uncle taught me the basics and regularly lent me his Olympus OM 10 (film). I then take my first steps. In 2008, passionate, I made photography my job, my career was launched. I set off on a journey around the world, I then took photographs for French institutions abroad and on a personal basis, projects on the subject of the human being. I take the time to immerse myself in the places and people I photograph. Attached to my meetings, I regularly return to see them in order to pay homage to them and to offer the portraits made. In 2009, I went to Benin to respond to a photo order. I have been intimately linked with this country ever since. Every year I go back there and in 2012, I tour the country by motorbike, around 3,000 km. In April 2017, I moved there for 2 years. I now live in Nice and go very regularly to Benin and other countries. For the needs of a client, I invest in a drone. At first reluctant to use it in my personal projects, I quickly discovered the advantages of these devices, in particular very low altitude flight, which opened up new angles of shots. The idea of a book on Benin then gained ground. It is in 2019 that the book “SOUFFLE, Benin seen from the sky” is self-published. Faced with the success of the book, 780 pre-sold copies, I set out to found the MIWA editions in order to realize my next works but also to publish other photographers.
