Description of the photograph

An artistic and cultural photographic project, Change Face aims to offer a strong visual testimony to "peoples from elsewhere" who have the tradition of "changing their face" through ancestral customs: scarification, tattoos, piercing ... Change Face consists of several reports, the first being an encounter with the "Betammaribés" people living in the mountains of Atakora in northern Benin. One of their tradition is scarification of the face and body.
