Description of the photograph

Tide in the mist, on the Dordogne (33). The tidal bore is a natural phenomenon that occurs during important tides. When the rising tide meets the water coming down the river, it creates a wave that turns into a wave on some sections. This wave goes back nearly 150km inland (we are here near Libourne). At this place, the wave can be surfed over 3 km, offering more than 15 minutes of uninterrupted gliding.
