Children play under the bridge of the Lol River, in the state of Bar el Ghazal North, north-west of South Sudan, May 5, 2018. Construction of the bridge began in June 2012, eleven months after South Sudanese cheered their independence. The company Ayat, in charge of the project, abandoned it in December 2013 when the civil war broke out, leaving the bridge unfinished and giving up urgently all its equipment and construction machinery.
