Journalist in the written press in Quebec for more than fifteen years, my profession has led me to collaborate with many talented photographers and to realize the impact of images, the only ones that can sometimes bear witness to the unspeakable. Aware that “a picture is worth a thousand words”, it is therefore quite natural that I equip myself with an SLR in 2011 and embark on self-taught photography. Influenced by my profession, my practice is primarily oriented towards documentary photography and street photography. I like my photos to tell a story, to challenge or to evoke emotions. It is clear that it is above all the Human that attracts my eye. The humanist photo testifies both to the difficulties and injustices, but also to the simple pleasures of life. In 2014, the desire for a new life brought me with my little family to Ariège, at the foot of the Pyrenees. Far from the tumult of urban life that I had known until then, I concentrate on the main human activity that surrounds me, that of my children, Sidonie and Lucien. Then begins "Nature of children", a series that refers to the life they have in the countryside, close to nature, but also to the natural and spontaneous attitude of children, their emotions, which I try to capture. . From there I came up with the idea of pushing the work further and using these photos to try to demystify Down's syndrome, which affects my daughter, Sidonie. Today, I define myself as "Photoreporter of emotions". Specialist in black & white, my style, my sensitivity and my ability to capture the moment allow me to produce strong, timeless, unforgettable images ...
