Martine Benezech

At the age of ten, sheltered behind the lens, then later in the darkness of the "darkroom", I tried to decipher this strange world by watching it slowly appear in the developer tray. My journey was a solitary, self-taught one, financed by another professional activity. Today my path is changing, and I'm finally affirming it: I'm discovering what I was looking for in photography. The representation, through the reassuring world of the animal, of what my childhood eyes refused to see. Post-production allows me to get even closer to the images I carry within me, and I give it an important place, even in my more realistic work. I'm always looking for the dreamlike side that has been my living space. I use a Canon 5D Mark II with a 70-200 2.8 lens, often coupled with an EF 2X extender;

I've never taken part in a single exhibition or competition, and I've never tried to win a single award.
