Description of the photograph

Chairs covered by snow in the alleys of Tourny in February 1956. The winter of 1956 was marked by temperatures and snowfall records all over France. Temperatures reached -15.2 ° C in Bordeaux, where enormous snowfall occurred at the end of February (80 cm in Bordeaux and 1 meter in Arcachon). Photograph signed South West at the bottom right.
